Hello, and a very warm welcome to Southway Bears' Web Site.
Southway Bears are hand made on the edge of the New Forest in the UK, a perfect habitat for us teddy bears! We are made from top quality mohair and fillings, and were designed by "our maker", Sue Southway. As you will see on the following pages, we are very collectable bears. We are painstakingly made, and very elegant (also modest). We feel sure that teddy bear collectors would be proud to add us to their collections. We would also make a very fine token of affection for a gentleman to bestow upon his lady. She will love you forever! The Teddy Bear celebrated its 100th birthday several years ago, and is still one of the best friends anyone can have. So go on, and make someones day, and give one of us teddies to that someone special in your life, and you will always be remembered. No bear is exactly the same, so everyone will have a different teddy bear to love and cherish. Sue is pleased to design special commission bears, if you go to the 'commissions' page you can see a few examples, these include two beautiful bridal bears (bride and groom), and a teddy bear for a new baby with his name and date of birth on the teddy bears foot. Sue has started to make bears and other items from needlefelting, for more details and pictures, please go to the "Needlefelting" page. A Southway bear would be a great gift for that someone special.
